The Crisis
Policy blindness to male-specific vulnerabilities leaves millions of boys without targeted support. The evidence — in Zambia and across Africa — tells a story we can no longer ignore.
More boys than girls failed Zambia's 2025 Grade 7 and Grade 9 national examinations — despite boys being fewer in number. “The results are showing that we must pay attention to the boy child,” admitted the Minister of Education. BCAZ has called for a national-emergency response to declining male academic performance, warning of rising absenteeism, declining enrolment and streetism if the trend continues.

Our Story
Boy Child Advocacy Zambia (BCAZ) works with schools, religious institutions, traditional leaders and communities to help boys become responsible, respectful and resilient men. Guided by the motto Building Boys for Tomorrow, BCAZ promotes boys' development in a way that also supports stronger families and communities.
